    The community leaders are hoping to install wild flower boxes in the community and gift seed bombs to local people to disperse. The group hope to produce seed bombs called the Dallas seed bomb – detonate to pollinate. They are hoping to make Dallas more bee friendly and attractive for visitors and locals.

    We are a community leadership group we raise money for charities, make links with our community. We also arrange events and trips so that other schools, nurseries, groups can come and have an outdoor experience with us. We have camp fires to cook outdoors, we explore nature we let children feed our hens. We would also like to give nursery children books to help them develop their reading skills and healthy food bags to encourage them to eat healthier. We also want to promote Fairtrade and sustainability projects.

    Dallas Primary school wish to hold games afternoons in the local community and surrounding villages. The group want to buy traditional games to encourage intergenerational interaction and also visit a local nursing home.

    The For Forres group was created to be a pressure group to improve child facilities in Forres. We’ll use the funds to help clean up the local area in various methods. We aim to make Forres a safer place for the youth to grow and develop in. We’ll be painting benches in bright engaging colours. We will also install new bins and set up a litter picking group to encourage local people to keep Forres clean and tidy

    For Forres park maintenance group. We are going to use the money for repairing the play parks around Forres. The parks are covered in graffiti, and the remaining paint is peeling and flaky. We will repaint the park equipment to make the parks in Forres look fresh and clean this will encourage families to use the outside places to make Forres happier healthier place to live.

    We are a local youth pipe band; we encourage young people to learn new skills by playing marching drums and bagpipes. We would like to get a grant to buy new tenor drums as this would allow us to take part in parades for the community such as Forres theme day, soccer 7 championships, armistice day and at other local events. We are hoping to improve our skills so that we can progress to the big pipe band when we are older. We also offer try it and see sessions to encourage more young people to join.

    We are an afterschool group who sing and dance to promote positive messages. We would use the grant to buy a sound system to enable us to perform in various venues and outfits have a unified look. We also take part in completions and meet up with other young people from different areas. We put on shows for families and parents within our school.

    The Hub is a safe place within Forres Academy for young people during school. However lots of other community groups use the hub too. The money will enable us to renovate the hub and make it a friendly, relaxing space for pupils/groups to enjoy We would like to raise awareness about the hub within the school. If we are successful with our bid the Hub could also be used for other things, like open nights, parents groups and other community events.

    We hope to set up a wellbeing ‘flourish’ area in the school. This will have a chill out area full of good information, books and leaflets that will promote good mental and physical health We need the money to buy leaflet books, display materials and soft seating to create the flourish area and make sure that information is available in it. We hope external agencies will be able to use this area for further training of the champions and other pupils.
